DESCRIPTION = Two bands from two states turned great friends through swapping shows, touring together, sharing radio spots, and most of all, supporting each other. Simple Simon (Chicago, IL) and The Vibe Tribe (Terre Haute, IN) toured throughout most of the country for years and during each band's hiatus, set up a jam session. Enter BLACKMAKER. They wrote about 16 songs in the course of two days. Then, hooked up with a few radio contacts, promotional people and one hell of a producer and engineer, and commenced the recording/documentation of one of the most promising rock projects in the Midwest. It took five years of touring and seven albums between the two bands to form this duopoly of Midwestern rock, but it was worth the wait. Formed from years of hard work and self-promotion, Blackmaker is a soulful, heavy force to be reckoned with.

CD/DESCRIPTION = The guys are in Nashville recording...all is going great! They still don't have an ETA on when they'll be back in town, but it could be this weekend. The producer they're working with is kicking some butt and already is working on an upcoming showcase for them, which could delay there trip home or just get them a trip to New York at a later date. One label already has some of their new stuff...things are on the move...
